I consider it an amazing honor to live in rural Iowa. One of the greatest things about living in a small community is that we come together as a family when our community is in need. Our Communities are in need, the safety of our children and our families is threatened by the trauma of sexual violence and anyone can be a victim. As someone who has experienced this; I can tell you that it takes a Community to stop sexual violence and there is nothing more important to Iowans than Community. It takes the power of Community to heal, to strengthen, and to support Survivors.

There is such amazing power in Community and that is why I support RVAP. We can end sexual violence and RVAP is the tip of the spear in our Rural Communities when it comes to providing resources, advocacy, and support to Survivors and their Families. I truly believe there is nothing that Iowans cannot do and that includes ending sexual violence!
